Arabella is a little mermaid. She lives near a bright island by the warm sea. Arabella is kind and curious. She likes to sing soft songs. She likes to play near the sand. She loves her friends. She feels happy in the sun.
One shiny day, Arabella sees a small teddy bear on the shore. The teddy bear wears a red bow. He has a soft brown body and a sweet smile. Arabella reaches the sand. She smiles at the bear. “Hello,” she says. The bear winks. “Hello,” he says with a tiny voice. Arabella names him Teddy.
They become friends right away. Teddy skips along the wet sand. Arabella hums a song. They look at shells and stones. They laugh when a small crab waves its claw. The sky is blue. The sea is calm. They feel warm in the sun. Then Teddy points with his paw. “Look,” he says. They see a white shell. It glows softly. Arabella gasps. “That is the lost seashell,” she says. Teddy nods. The shell is shiny. It is magic. They need the shell for a friend. An old fish friend feels sad. She lost her sea crown. She needs a kind gift.
Arabella wades in the water. Teddy stays on a large leaf. He floats gently. Arabella swims deep. She passes silly sea stars. She giggles. She sees bright fish. They wave fins. All is calm. She dives under a small wave. She finds a hidden cave. The cave is dark and quiet. Arabella glows with her tail light. She spots the seashell on a rock. It glows bright. Arabella reaches for it. Suddenly a small toy boat floats in. It is noisy and tricky. It beeps and splashes. The toy boat has the shell. It zips away. Arabella gasps. Teddy hops on a leaf and follows.
Arabella swims fast. She sees the boat near the cave mouth. She calls, “Toy, please stop! That shell is for a friend.” The toy boat beeps. It looks like it wants to play. Teddy hops onto the boat deck. He gently lifts the shell. The boat squeaks in surprise. Arabella smiles. She thanks the boat. “Thank you for the fun,” she says. The toy boat beeps twice and sails away calmer.
Arabella and Teddy return. They give the shell to the old fish. The fish smiles. She puts on her crown. She dances. Arabella claps. Teddy claps.
At sunset, Arabella and Teddy sit on the shore. They watch the sky. They say, “We did it.” They feel proud. End of story. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. They are happy and safe. Yay!!!
