Emma's Treehouse Surprise

Emma lives in a cozy treehouse high in a friendly oak tree. She is a curious and cheerful little girl. Every morning she greets the sun and waves to the birds. She has a soft plush bear named Plush. Plush is a quiet friend who loves warm hugs. She has a playful monkey friend named Monkey. Monkey swings on the branches and giggles with delight. She has a shiny red toy car. The toy car likes to race around the wooden floor boards of the treehouse.

One bright day Emma wakes early and finds that the toy car has no wheels. The wheels rolled away in the night. Emma feels a little sad. She rubs Plush’s head. Plush gives a gentle squeeze. Monkey swings down and asks, "Where did the wheels go?" Emma looks around and sees a glimmer of red near a leaf. She spots one wheel stuck in a hollow. She claps her hands in joy. She asks Monkey to help. Monkey scampers and reaches the wheel. He brings it back carefully. Emma holds it happily.

But she needs three more wheels. Emma leads the way into the leafy branches. High above she sees a small nest made by busy birds. One wheel sits in the nest. Emma calls softly, “Hello little birds, may I have the wheel please?” The birds chirp and flutter. They let one wheel roll down. Monkey catches it. Emma thanks the birds with a gentle bow.

Now two wheels left. Emma peers under a pile of golden leaves. She finds a wheel sleeping under soft leaves. She pulls the leaves aside gently. She sees the wheel and picks it up. Monkey does a happy dance. Emma and Monkey now have three wheels. They need only one more wheel.

They search near the tree trunk. They find a hollow stump. Inside they spy the final wheel. Emma reaches in and touches the cool wood. The wheel rolls toward her hand. She grabs it and holds it tight. Emma has all four wheels at last.

She places them back on the shiny red toy car. She pushes the car gently and watches it go. It zooms across the floor and circles around Plush. Emma claps. Plush gives a soft bear hug. Monkey giggles and swings above.

Emma feels proud and happy. She learned how to look and ask for help. She learned to thank her friends and to be patient. She learned that by working together she can solve any problem.

As the sun begins to set, Emma and her friends sit on a soft blanket. They watch the sky turn pink and orange. They share a snack and laugh together. Emma hugs Plush. Monkey curls on her lap. The toy car rests by her side. In the cozy treehouse, Emma feels safe and loved. And she drifts off to sleep with a smile.
