Kids stories

In Ether Forest, Rawr The Dinosaur finds the colors fading away. With Lion, Pig, and Wolf, Rawr follows a glittery trail to Monster’s hidden sack of stolen color-lights—and learns a gentle way to bring the forest back to life.
Rawr The Dinosaur and the Missing Colors

Rawr The Dinosaur lived in Ether Forest. The trees were tall. The air was soft and sparkly.

Rawr was a brave dinosaur, but also a little shy. When Rawr wanted to roar, the roar came out small.
“Rawr…?” Rawr whispered.

One sunny morning, Rawr’s forest looked wrong.
The green leaves were pale.
The red berries were gray.
Even the blue sky seen through the branches looked washed out.

Lion came bouncing in, all proud and loud.
“I am Lion! I see a problem!” Lion said.
Pig waddled up, gentle and worried.
“I miss the pretty colors,” Pig said.
Wolf walked quietly, ears up, very clever.
“I smell something… smoky,” Wolf said.

Rawr blinked. “Colors gone.”
Lion nodded. “We will bring them back!”
Pig held Rawr’s hand. “Together.”

They followed a faint, glittery trail on the forest floor. It led to a dark thicket.
A big shadow moved.
Monster!

Monster was not huge, but it looked scary in the shadows. It had a sack and the sack shimmered.
Monster growled, “Mine.”

Rawr’s tummy felt wiggly.
Lion stepped forward. “Give back the colors!”
Monster hugged the sack. “No. Colors make me feel strong.”

Pig took a tiny step closer. “Are you… lonely?” Pig asked.
Monster paused. Its growl got quiet.

Wolf sniffed the air again. “Monster, you took the colors, but now Ether Forest is sad,” Wolf said.
Monster looked down. “I wanted the bright parts for me. The dark parts are all I know.”

Rawr swallowed. Shy brave feelings mixed together.
Rawr touched the sack. It felt warm, like sunshine.
Rawr said softly, “We can share.”

Monster blinked. “Share?”
Rawr nodded. “A little for you. A little for forest.”

Lion huffed. “Sharing is… fine,” Lion said, trying to sound tough.
Pig smiled. “Yes.”
Wolf wagged his tail. “A fair trade.”

Rawr had an idea. “We make color drops!”
Rawr found three clear leaves like little bowls.
Pig found shiny pebbles.
Wolf found a twisty vine to tie.
Lion used his strong paws to open the sack just a little.

Inside were tiny lights: green, red, blue, gold.
Rawr whispered, “Hello, colors.”

Rawr poured one small glow into each leaf bowl.
Then Rawr tipped the bowls onto the ground.
Drip. Drip. Drip.

The forest drank the light.
Green rushed back into the leaves.
Red popped onto berries.
Blue returned to the sky spots.
Gold twinkled on the path.

Ether Forest sighed like a happy nap.

Monster watched, eyes wide.
“It’s… pretty,” Monster said.
Rawr nodded. “You can have a piece too.”

Rawr tied the last little glow into a pebble with vine.
It became a Color Stone, warm and bright.
Rawr gave it to Monster.

Monster held it close. “For me?”
Pig nodded. “For you.”

Monster’s shoulders dropped. “Thank you. I will not take again,” Monster said.

Lion grinned. “We did it!”
Wolf said, “Teamwork.”
Pig said, “Kindness.”

Rawr tried a big roar.
Rawr breathed in.
“RAWR!”
It came out strong and happy.
The birds fluttered.
The trees seemed to clap.

Rawr smiled. “I can roar.”

On the way home, they found something shining under a fern.
A small treasure box, just sitting there.
Rawr opened it.
Inside were four smooth bracelets, one for each friend, with tiny color dots.

Lion put his on. “Brave!”
Pig put hers on. “Sweet!”
Wolf put his on. “Smart!”
Rawr put theirs on. “Friend!”

And in Ether Forest, the colors stayed bright, and Monster stayed nearby, holding the warm Color Stone, no longer alone.
