Sarah is a girl in the Enchanted Forest. She is small, shy, and very kind. She walks slowly. She listens.
“Hello,” says Sarah.
A little Flower waves in the soft wind. The Flower can talk. It is bright and friendly.
“Hi, Sarah,” says Flower. “I lost my shiny seed.”
Sarah blinks. “Shiny seed?”
“Yes,” says Flower. “It is round. It glows like a tiny sun. Without it, I feel sleepy.”
Sarah holds her hands close to her chest. She feels nervous. But she wants to help.
“I will find it,” Sarah whispers.
From behind a big fern, Sorceress steps out. She is tall. Her robe is smooth. Her eyes are gentle.
“I will go too,” says Sorceress. “I know the forest paths. And I know calm magic.”
Sarah nods.
They walk on a mossy trail. The trees hum, low and warm. A brook goes plip-plip.
Flower calls, “Shiny seed! Where are you?”
A shadow moves.
A Wolf appears. He is gray. He is big. His nose wiggles.
“Sniff, sniff,” says Wolf. “Something shiny? Something yummy?”
Sarah takes a small step back.
Sorceress raises one hand. “Wolf, we are looking for Flower’s shiny seed. It is not food.”
Wolf tilts his head. “Not food? Then why is it so bright?”
Sarah thinks. She takes a breath.
“Wolf,” says Sarah softly, “can you smell where it went? Your nose is strong.”
Wolf pauses. He looks surprised.
“I can,” says Wolf. “I like being useful.”
He sniffs the air. “This way.”
They follow Wolf to a sparkling clearing. A log lies on the ground. Under the log, something glows.
Flower gasps. “My shiny seed!”
But the seed is stuck in sticky sap.
Sarah frowns. “Oh no.”
Sorceress says, “We can do a tiny spell. Sarah, you can try. Small magic is brave magic.”
Sarah’s cheeks get warm. “Me?”
“Yes,” says Sorceress.
Sarah holds her hands over the sap. She whispers, “Soft and slide, sap, please hide.”
The sap loosens. It goes plop. The seed rolls free.
Flower cheers. “You did it! You did it!”
Wolf’s ears lift. “Wow. That was neat.”
Sarah smiles, a little bigger now.
Flower plants the shiny seed in the earth. The ground twinkles. The Flower stands taller. Its petals glow like a lantern.
“Thank you,” says Flower. “I have a gift.”
From the petals, Flower drops three tiny treasures: a smooth golden pebble, a pink crystal bead, and a leaf that sparkles.
“For you, Sarah,” says Flower.
Sarah touches the golden pebble. It is warm. “Mine?”
“Yours,” says Flower.
Sorceress gives Sarah a small ribbon too. “For your pocket. For your courage.”
Wolf sits down. “Do I get a gift?”
Flower giggles. “Yes. A snack.”
A sweet berry rolls to Wolf. Wolf munches and smiles.
They all sit in the clearing. The Enchanted Forest feels safe again.
Sarah looks at her treasures. She looks at her friends.
“I was scared,” she says.
Sorceress nods. “And you helped anyway.”
Sarah hugs the warm pebble. “I can do small brave things.”
Flower glows brighter, like a happy night-light.
Wolf yawns, calm.
Then they wave goodbye. Sarah walks home with a shiny pocket and a brave heart.
