Bluey and the Lost Seashell

Kids stories

Bluey, a shy but brave little boy, meets a kind Sorceress at the beach. Together they search for a shiny lost seashell—until a grumpy Sorcerer tries to keep it. With a clever sand ramp and a friendly crab, Bluey wins the shell back and earns a golden beach treasure.
Bluey and the Lost Seashell

Bluey is a little boy. He is brave, but he is also a bit shy. Today he goes to the beach. The sand is warm. The waves go shh, shh.

Bluey holds a small bucket. He wants to build a sand castle.

“Hello, Bluey,” says a Sorceress. She wears a big hat. Her eyes are kind. She smiles like sunshine.

Bluey whispers, “Hi.”

The Sorceress bends down. “I need help. A seashell is lost. A special one. A lost seashell.”

Bluey blinks. “A shell?”

“Yes,” she says. “It is shiny. It helps me make gentle sea-magic.”

Bluey looks at the sand. He looks at the water. “We can find it,” he says. His voice is small, but steady.

They walk. Step, step. Bluey’s feet make tiny prints.

A crab pops out.

“Click-click,” says the crab.

Bluey giggles. “Hello, crab.”

The Sorceress asks, “Did you see a shiny shell?”

The crab points a claw. “Click!”

They follow the crab to a tide pool. The water sparkles.

But—oh no.

A Sorcerer stands on a rock. He has a long coat that flaps in the wind.

He says, “No shell for you. I will keep it!”

Bluey feels a bump-bump in his chest. He wants to hide behind the bucket.

The Sorceress whispers, “It’s okay. We will be calm. We will be clever.”

Bluey looks at the Sorcerer. He sees the shiny shell in the Sorcerer’s hand.

Bluey thinks. He looks at the waves. He looks at the bucket.

Bluey says, “Hey! Look! A big wave is coming!”

The Sorcerer turns his head.

Bluey runs. Fast-fast. He scoops wet sand into his bucket.

He pats it down. Pat, pat.

Then he flips it.

Plop!

A sand hill appears.

The Sorcerer laughs. “A sand bump? Ha!”

Bluey points. “Not a bump. A sand ramp!”

The next wave rolls in. It slides up the ramp and splashes the Sorcerer’s boots.

“Eek!” yells the Sorcerer.

He jumps back. The shiny shell drops.

The crab grabs it. Click-click!

The crab scuttles to Bluey and drops the shell into Bluey’s hands.

Bluey holds it. It is smooth. It glows like a tiny moon.

The Sorcerer grumbles. “Too wet! Too sandy!” He stomps away.

The Sorceress claps softly. “You were brave, Bluey. And smart.”

Bluey smiles. “I did it.”

She touches the shell with one finger. “Sea-magic, gentle and bright.”

A little sparkle spins over the sand.

Pop!

A real treasure appears: a small golden bucket charm with a star on it.

“For you,” says the Sorceress. “A beach treasure.”

Bluey holds the charm. “Mine!”

They build a sand castle together. Tall tower. Little door.

The crab sits like a guard.

The waves go shh, shh.

Bluey feels warm inside. Brave and happy. At the beach, he found a lost seashell—and a shiny treasure too.
